What was the last device launch that you got excited about?
Obviously you weren't excited as you are for the Z10, but what was it? When the Torch 9800 came out I was pretty excited. I actually drove from Toronto to Buffalo to buy one, I didn't want to wait for Rogers to release it. I ended up buying 3, and I sold the other 2 for a profit.

I'm as excited for BlackBerry 10 as I was for Palm webOS, which is the platform on which I started mobile app development. In fact, I think I'm even more excited now than I was when webOS came out. BlackBerry 10 completely rocks.

After further review and a cross examination with the wife, I amend my response as follows.

****, I forgot about the playbook. I was really excited about that one too, more than the Torch.

What was the last device launch that you got excited about?
None. I haven't seen an os that could turn a company around like this.
WebOS was ok but I knew it was going to flop with lack of apps and horrible hardware.

I was sort of jazzed about the launch of OS2, but NOTHING like this launch. I will still show some decorum when I actually handle the device....

PlayBook initial launch (I bought a 16gb on the first day from Best Buy). Was also excited about OS2.0 of TabletOS. Of course, excitement for all those was an anticipation for BB10....

This is the first non-apple launch that I am really excited about since the Playstation 3.
all smartphones are tools.
android = 48pc tool set (you"ll eventually find the tool you need, but some assembly required)
iphone = swiss army knife (most of the tools you need in a small, simple to use package)
blackberry = adjustable wrench (sometimes all you need is a wrench)
windows phone = bionic wrench (its different....but it works) - 01-30-2013, 01:45 AM #19
I was excited when the space shuttle launched too

The last time I was this excited was......every time a new BB was relased!!!
I went psycho over my 8310
I became addicted to this site for the 9700
Showed up first day, when the doors opened, for the 9800 AND the 9810
Left AT&T and went to Verizon when the 9900 took too long on AT&T (then came back to AT&T when my three 9930s bricked, one after the other)
Brings me to TODAY.....
As I sit here, coffee in hand, wondering how I can disguise that I won't be *working from home* because I'll be glued to this site.....Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy, and good with ketchup
Isn't it amusing how people who claim to not enjoy CB at all simply can't stay away????
It's because it's CRACKBERRY, the BEST BB site....

. Before that though was the Playbook, even though I didn't pick one up at launch. The price was too steep for me back then given that I really didn't have the need for a tablet. But it was definitely fun to follow along. I definitely think I'm the most excited for the BB10 launch though. It'll be the start of something huge.
