I'm really into the new Nine Inch Nails stuff right now. Ghosts I-IV is a collection of ambient music that is so cool. Trent Reznor calls it a "soundtrack for daydreams". I highly recommend it and the first volume, Ghosts I, is available free at nin.com...check it out.
Otherwise, my iPod also has ADD. Anything from classical to hardcore metal and rap. My faves are Pearl Jam, Kanye West, NIN, Pantera, Wolfmother and Wu Tang...to name a few.
being a drummer for 9 years now, I diversify my music greatly. However, the one 'genre' of music that will always keep me going is HOUSE. Not the rave induced stereotypical mess that everyone acclimates to the world of HOUSE music, but true electro-house.
Rock, Classic Rock, some Metal, some Punk, some Funk, some old-school Rap/Hip-Hop (like Run DMC old-school, not Dr. Dre and Snoop old-school), eclectic bands like 311 that don't really have a good "category," Classical, Irish Folk/Fiddle, ermm... I am pretty open to music in general honestly. The only genres I flat out don't like are Country and modern Hip-Hop. Hang on, I need to rephrase... I don't like modern Hip-Hop lyrics, but I can dig some of the beats.
I have a very broad interest in music. I like just about anything. I love old school hip hop (early 90's), rock, some reggae, reggaeton, r&b, even some classical. I'm definitely not one to listen to just one type of music.
