For upcoming devices the folks who want BB10 could have BB10 and the folks who want Android could have stock Android.
I think Blackberry devices could potentially move a lot more units.
I imagine this as a decision that is made at purchase.
If it comes with BB10 it can only ever run BB10.

Only the Classic. No reason for an all touch Android BlackBerry. For those needing a keyboard then having an Android makes a lot of sense unless you value the Hub more than having all of the apps.

The passport running android would be interesting.

But I would prefer BB10 on some high end android hardware.

Also, if the Nokia Lumia series was running full android, I'd have that instead.

BB10 is what makes a Blackberry Phone what it is. If you wanted a Droid why wouldn't you get a Blackphone?

I think the Passport is a very interesting bit of hardware regardless of the operating system.
The large all touch device that I imagine coming down the road also interests me regardless of the operating system.

I'd rather use Bb 10. Imagine if we had the app support like Android and ios devices with BB10's ui. Oh heaven. Haha

If a metric **uck load of consumers bought the Android version then Blackberry could keep the lights on and continue making BB10 for the consumers and companies that wan't BB10.

I got the Classic mainly for the keyboard. I would love Android on it if the Hub was somehow integrated into it.

I would rather have the choice of BB10 on Android devices (like LG G3 or Moto X). I like some of their hardware, but I use a BlackBerry because I like their OS. I definitely (it seems like it goes with out saying at this point) value more what BB10 offers than I do Apps (I don't have a single game on my phone). What do I value (Message Management, Hub, Blend, Notifications, LED, Gestures, Calendar, Advanced sharing, Swipe to wake, fluidity, BBM Screen share...list goes on). I always liked how Kevin phrased it years ago. BlackBerry is a COMMUNICATION device. Their hardware is pretty good, but I would take an LG G3 running BB10 in a heartbeat!

What if you want Android you go buy a better Android device? LG G3? Why buy a BB not like BB hw is killer or anything.

I feel BlackBerry (10 or OS) give you more control over what happening with the phone, it is more transparent. For example with BlackBerry 10, you can choose what permissions you allow an app to use. I don't see we can do with Android.

I acknowledge the app gap but with as of now I'm OK current apps I have. The only one app that I wish I have on my Z10 is SimpleMind - that all.

BB10 all the way. Android sucks. That's just my opinion and you don't have to like it.

Also if you want Android there are already "billions" of them around and choose from so why do you have to expect BlackBerry to make them.

Rather have BB10 on some of the flagship hardware going to be announced at MWC. An S6 Edge variant with BB10 would be so much awesome.

Keyboard + Hub + Android with it's apps and widgets = Amazing. As long as they preserve notification profiles and the hub, I'm there.

Blackberry is undercut in price and specs by everyone... Chinese OEMs, Samsung, LG, and ironically even Apple.

There's no point in releasing a Blackberry Android. The time for that has past when Blackberry hardware was much more competitive.

Yes it is hard to say that a full Android Classic would sell. It is quite possible that Consumers who might buy a Classic are not so concerned with Apps. I do think that a full Android Classic would sell better in the USA. It is not the OS that is important, it is the full access to the Google Play store and the various apps that require Google Services. Don't tell me about patches etc or the Amazon store.
