Most of us are very uptight about BB's decision making, these passed few years. A lot of unfulfilled promises, and questionable closet activity. So, my way of lightening the mood is to fill in the blank.

What would you do, if the A10 was the new 0S7 Flagship? Go!!!

Ignore it completely. I still do not understand this desire for BBRY to go backwards.

That's the current assumption, but until a final render is given no one knows.

Ah, in that case couldn't see it working well with legacy BBOS. Yeah, know this is a joke thread - but recall the failure of the all-touch Torch.

Apparently the new OS7 is going to be numbered 9270 and the only question is will it be an iteration of the Curve or Bold.

I escaped that nightmare. I had the 9810, arguably the best OS7 device period. I said arguably.

From what Bla1ze posted earlier, looks Boldish. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around that decision. I understand, according to their view, that there's a market for legacy devices, but don't we have enough legacy devices??

    Yes, we really do.

And by virtue of the new device being a 97xx does that mean that it will be of the Bold 9700 variety? Wouldn't that also leave many legacy device users upset? I just don't understand...

I actually don't think it's a bad move. For BlackBerry to survive they need retention of current users plus conversion of iOS and Android users BB10 "should" draw the attention of other platform users, but there are some BlackBerry users that have old phones, want to remain with BlackBerry, but don't want to switch to BB10. A new OS7 device allows loyal customers an option for a new device with out having to move to BB10. Doesn't bother me one bit.

The problem I see is if it is not of the Bold 9xxx line but of the 97xx line. That would likely leave many legacy users upset. (I'm just going off the numbering scheme. It's slated to be the 9720...)

I think people are probably reading too much into the numbering when this model is clearly going to be aimed at being an upgrade to the 9320 where BB cannot currently fit a bb10 model.

The choice of a 9720 model number rather than a 93xx might simply be because it is a combination of 9320 which it will replace and the 9790 which is the closest model as far as the specs are concerned.
