Yep, just: started this on my Passport, yet the notifications still appear in the hub and open when selected.

I'm glad it's not just me, if you open the app as you say it disappears but if you check out the device monitor it's still running.

I guess facebook has pulled the plug on some of the API's used by the app causing it to crash.

Had the same issues on my Q10. I had mainly moved to Face10/Messenger PRO for the little I require Facebook, but kept the old BB10 Facebook to retain some of the associated contacts.

However, after performing a full backup and factory reset and restore through BlackBerry Link, the old Facebook app began working again, at least as good as it ever did. And as a bonus, my 3+ year old Q10 is working faster and better than ever.

This happened to me the other day, but the app works fine today. I think it might have to do with something in the feed and once whatever that is goes off, things are fine again...

What an useless app that facebook is. A great tool for law enforcement, NSA, gov spying agencies.. and people fall for that.

I just got a new Passport and the native Facebook app still works! I'm holding off on updating for as long as I can!
