    Hi,

In canada bold doesn't seem to be available just yet, and I will have to buy the curve.

Just want to know, what are the major differences between the curve and bold?

The simple way for 3G is that its a faster form of an internet connection. Like in a few more years, we will probably have 5G or something.

The Bold is a new generation BlackBerry.

Previous devices have been limited by the older design embedded processor. The new processor is twice as fast and can access much more memory.

The screen is far richer in detail then the earlier devices, higher resolution in the same from factor.

I am playing the waiting game too, the clock is ticking on the $30/6Gb deal. I expect Bold to release while the promotion is still current.

It's a little higher on the cool factor. Faster, bigger, more memory, etc. Do the comparison posted by 49ways.

Welcome to CB. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a Bold because I really like my Curve -- it seems like its made for my hands. But after eading about what a 3G device will do, I can't wait to get my hands on one.

Besides the 3G, Bigger Screen, More memory, faster processor as everyone is stating. The Bold also has something the curve does not have both GPS and Wifi on the same model. The curve has either GPS *8310* or Wifi *8320* where the Bold is the 9000 with both!

What if we already have 3G? The 1G on board memory will be nice, but maybe a little overkill. It is going to be hard for me, like exelant said, it was made for my hands. Can't wait to see it and play with it a little. The Curve is such a nice device, it is going to be hard to believe that the Bold will "blow" it away.

You think it will be released before the deal? I am having my doubts! (but hope!).

Why do you think it will be released before end of august?

I don't think it will be at first. Remember, Verizon gets everything last....but usually better!
