I was looking over my service plan and was thinking about getting a second Berry. I noticed that I am paying 19.99 for my Blackberry unlimited email/internet, but if I got a Blackberry today it would be 39.99. Out of curiosity, I am wondering what my fellow addicts are paying to get and keep their berry fix. Granted I have been with Tmobile for almost four years, but that 39.99 is a pretty hefty increase.
We get hosed pretty badly up here in Canada, but it has gotten slightly better lately with WIND mobile coming on the scene.
500MB data
5 FAV numbers (everything free, even LD)
200 Daytime minutes (100+100) work nights, dont care.
Nights and weekends free.
Unlimited text.
Caller ID
Enhanced VM
Free international roaming
I WAS paying $77.00 a month for this, off contract.
I signed for 3 yrs, paid $50.00 for a Bold 9700.
I NOW pay $50.00 a month, less tax, so say $57.00
The BlackBerry part of my plan is $30 for BID and 6 Gb of data. That was a limited time special offer, thanks to the introduction of the iPhone on my carriers network.
The attractive part, I can add family members or business associates to that plan for $5. The group shares the 6 Gb data pool.
On a personal note, some of my clients have offered to buy out that plan, at a substantial premium. I have my carrier locked in to a massive amount of data.
Voice is UMA/TalkSpot, unlimited National calling.

wth are u talking bout man...thats an awesome price for the bold and the plan(in canada of course)
AT&T charges $30 a month for unlimited BlackBerry data bundle. That includes unlimited email. I saw someone mention $19.99 for a BB data package. How did you get that may I ask?

I quite agree, but I think Canada ranks 3'rd or 4th for highest cellphone rates does it not? A year ago this would probably be $100.00 a month.
Anyway, I was quite willing to lock myself in on this one . Bottom line is I have everything I had before, but save 33x$20.00, so $660.00 over the 3 years. My first 3 months are free to make the 9700 a $50.00 outlay.
We have a family plan thing that I used as leverage, but this is outside of that plan.
Is that an older price that you got a while ago? I thought VZW charged $30/month now.
I pay $30/month from AT&T.

My guess is a discount.
I recently switched from Att to Verizon because of a discount I got through my employer. I added a Blackberry to my 4 phone plan (a total of 3 BB's and 1 dumbphone) I pay $20 dollars less than I did at Att with 2 BB and 2 dumbphones.
I pay $25/mo for unlimited data on Telus. I'm currently on the old CDMA network and I hear that I can't migrate to the new network and hold onto my data plan. Anyone out there have any insight into this?
Depends on your service plan but you can switch to a plan where talk, text and web are all included. I have tmobile myself and it turned out to be cheaper to switch to a plan like that.
