    Why?
    The only thing HTC could possibly bring to the table is phone making. They can't bring design or OS. If BlackBerry started shipping/selling millions of phones a week, then costs would marginally go down (still have to pay for those rare earth materials).

    Htc running blackberry 10.2(final rtm) would be so great but i doubt it would happen. I don't think htc would pay blackberry to have qnx running on their hardwares.

    I don't see it happening. I doubt that BBRY would be willing to to switch its OS to Android and share HTC's massive debt burden. And I don't see HTC adopting the BB10 platform.

    Agree on the points about production, SW dev., but I do disagree about design. HTC designs have recently been very strong, in particular the HTC One family.

    Where I am not sure but suspect, HTC might have some stronger carrier relationships to bring to the party.

    Haha dear OP, you have thrown a wild idea out there with no suggestions as to why it would be a good idea. No reason, no justification.. as most other people in this thread I don't see why this is a good idea and it doesn't seem to bring any value proposition at all.

    You want to jump in and tell us why you entertained the idea in the first place? Maybe most of us are missing what you can see.

    He could have done worse. He could have suggested that BlackBerry merge with Taco Bell, or Sears. Or how about this: "What do you guys think about a Pep Boys and BlackBerry merger?"

    Nothing can save BlackBerry. They can merge with apple for all they like the outcome will be the death of Apple.
    BlackBerry is done for. The folks here need to realise that.
    A smart phone which can't restore it's own backup in this day and age is worthless.
