I think you're question is incredibly vague but to me "the dreaded screen" would have something to do with the "dreaded hourglass".

Unless of course you're into hair fashions such as dreadlocks then a "dreaded screen" would be braided, twisted, and dirty. I prefer my berry undreaded.
