There is a company making a coating that you can put on your BB. I originally saw this on Blackberry Cool, and again today on BerryReview, and figured I would post the article here for all to find!

    Waterproof It

This was demo'd on the Today show Thursday. The guy coated an NBC blackberry and left it in an aquaruim for about 8 to 10 min then they tried it. All worked well electronicly. They had to shake some water out of the speaker hole as it was garbled before. However, it appeared to be protected. I was impressed. The Today show never asked the question as to weather it was still covered under waranty and if the water damage stickers would show positive.

Ha ha! You know how to make someone still feel useful, even when they are old news!

What can I say, I like cowboy hats.

Anyhow, I would assume that this definitely would void your warranty, as you send your phone in to have this applied, and I believe they take it apart to waterproof the entire device.

i was all for it until i saw i have to send it in...be berryless...i dont think so
water damage was only half of what killed my last berry, i think it getting ran over by a car finished it off
if there was somewhere i could drop it off and pick it up a day or two later i would definitely do it!

They are trying to link up to a nationwide chain to provide the service. It sounded like it was going to be a short process once they had everthing worked out. They didn't say if it was a do while you wait or drop off procedure.
