I need help fast! I want to set up a contact group and have duplicate numbers listed. (I won't go into the reason why but I do need to do this for use with sending text msgs). I set up multiple contacts all with the same phone number. Then when I go to set up the group it lets me add one contact. But when I try to add the next one it tells me it is a duplicate and won't add it to the group. Is there any way around this? I tried options on the phone and searching forums but can't find anything.
can you create another contact entry with a slightly different name? you would have to do that for each individual duplicate entry you'd want to add. i.e. the person name is john doe, so you would have a contact for john doe, john doe1, john doe2, john doe3...etc... and just use the john doe as the sort of "master" contact
It adds members to the group based on unique phone numbers. If I am understanding you correctly. Your contacts need to have the correct information entered.
