I am looking at the 8100 8800 or the 8700.

It is just for a back up, and to take when I go for hiking/camping and such.

I like the 8100 the best - but which one would you recommend ?

Get the flip - I would never have it as my primary bb, but for a backup? I think a flip bb would be great to just throw in a pocket from time to time. The flip style might work great in a backpack when camping - don't have to worry about any extra cases or holsters either.

If you're just needing a backup, the smaller/lighter 8100 would be a better choice for trips out in the boonies. You would probably find it at a lower cost, also. Shrink-a-OS, pare it down, lpoad it up, perfect backup.

8100 or 8800, depend if you want full keyboard or 1.3 megapix camera.

Both are almost the same phones(software/memory/etc...)
