I have the Bold, which I of course adore. I am brand new to the Blackberry family. I was wondering what the "W" means on my ringer profile screen? Also, should I get a memory card? Will it allow me to browse any faster? What are the reasons for getting a memory card? I know I will have more questions once I really get into using it more.

I'm not sure about the 'W' issue, I've never seen it before, but then again I don't have a Bold!
In terms of a memory card, I'd definitely get one if I were you. I have a 2GB in my Pearl and I have hundreds of photos, wallpapers and tunes on it and I've used 0.1GB. It won't let you browse any faster but it ensures you're not using device memory for photos etc. And they're really reasonably priced as well!
