Vodafone
I have just been in Vodafone with my 15 year old daughter to upgrade her phone. Her BB 8320 Curve had been attacked by our puppy and was in quite a state, so with renewal due, in we went.
The advice from the Assistant - strongly recommend you don't buy a BlackBerry as RIM are withdrawing from the consumer market and will offer no support within the next 2 years. I suggested to him this was incorrect and he told me this was the advice their HQ is pushing out after recent RIM media coverage.
I don't think BB sales are going to be improving if that is the message one of the UKs main cell phone carriers has taken from recent RIM media release.

I shall be going to Vodafone at Kidderminster UK next week to check out BB's for my forthcoming upgrade. It will be interesting to hear what they have to say on this issue.

I picked up a 9900. Just gorgeous. But there was a chap at the counter complaining about his poor 9900 battery life. Seems to be a common refrain, sadly.

Yes, I agree. It makes my decision quite difficult. I'm not waiting for BB10 but would like the 9900 but battery life does concern me. RIM really messed up on this, it's the same with the 9860 and 9790.
My wife wants the 9360 curve and I think battery life on that should be a lot better.
Decisions, decisions, decisions!

I hope that RIM learn the lesson about the battery for BB10. It is crucial.

I just bought my phone at AT&T this month for my birthday, and the clerk said, "are you sure you want the blackberry? They are probably going out of business soon". I also went to targets mobile department and they didn't even have blackberry on display.
