i installed visual voicemail but i didnt see the big advantage to it for 2.99 a month, so i deleted it. my phone started saying "new message activity but unable to retrieve, do you want to call your mailbox now?" message everytime i got a voicemail. so i call vzw and ask to reset my mailbox to basic voicemail instead of visual, she says its done and my phone will go back to the old way. its been 4 days, and it still hasnt. ive reset it everyday. any ideas?

You prob have to go on to the visual voicemail companies website and deactivate your account.

You will probably also have to disable call busy / call no-answer forwarding as well.

Log into your account online and see if vvm is still on your service.

    Not a solution, but here's a suggestion...

Maybe try something like YouMail? I believe the service is still free, and it replaces your standard VZW voicemail, so it may work regardless of the mess they have on their end regarding your services.
