Okay so here is my story...

I started out with OS 4.2 then upgraded to 4.5 and went back to 4.2 after my phone started randomly shutting off during phone converstations, I plugged my phone into my computer to do all of this. I just spent the WHOLE 8 hours of my work day getting rid of all the viruses on my computer. Is it possible that one got to my phone while plugged into the usb, could this be why my phone is randomly shutting off durng phone conversations?

If it is possible for a BB to get a virus I realize that I need to wipe the phone but here are my questions

    1. how do you wipe the phone
    2. How do I save pictures and phone numbers?
    3. How do I re "boot" the phone

    Thanks

At present time, there are no known viruses that can affect a BB.

First use the BackUp feature in Desktop Manager. You just need plug in your BB and press the BackUp button.

Second, here are the steps to wiping your device. I stress... Read the instructions prior to attempting the wipe.

If on the device memory, yes. But there should be a setting. If on a memory card, it won't, but you won't need them to be backed up because they're on the memory card.

    Tell us how it goes.
