Can't tell from the news release, is this going to be baked into the operating system ie will it run in the background, will it replace the currently not so friendly voice assistant?

I think the "V" in "Viki" stands for Vapourware.

I've had my doubts and cynicism as well...but I found this article, that gives me some renewed hope. Looks like BB is involved and it will coincide with the 10.1 and Q10 release....I keep a small crack open in the door for them.
