I remember reading about BlackBerry partnering with amazon. But did i read something about BlackBerry discontinuing their video service? Will videos for movies and tv shows still be available on BlackBerry world?

Also, is there an app that let's you purchase or rent Anime movies, like akira, or series episodes, like hellsing?

Videos and Music will be taken out after July 21st and will no longer be available for purchase through BlackBerry World - BlackBerry shutting down music and video stores on July 21st | CrackBerry.com. As for Anime, you might want to look into the CrunchyRoll Android app or their website. - http://www.crunchyroll.com/

Starting the 22nd of this month, BlackBerry will only be delivering apps and no media anymore. There hasn't be clear word if they'll rely on Amazon for that or not. Movies, shows and music that has been purchased prior to the 22nd, will still be available to download after

No idea on the existence of such an app, I'm afraid to say
