I have my phone set to vibrate yet when one of my contacts calls me, the phone will ring despite the vibrate setting. Why does that happen and how can I fix it?

Go into that contacts & edit the profile.

Yes, you probably have a custom ringtone set for that contact. Go into Contacts, view that contact, and see if there's a custom ringtone set for him. You can also look in Sounds for Contacts and see if he's included there in a custom contact alert profile.
