Today is a very sad day. Today for no appearent reason, my BB decided to take control of itself. While at work I took a glance down at it and noticed it was deleting applications off from it. How I have no idea. It wasn't hooked up to anything. I tried to stop it, but taking off the hard plastic shell was damn near impossible. By the time I got it off and took out the battery, the damage was done. I lost eveything on it, all of my applications, all of my contacts well over 600+, all of my events in my calender, just everything. I didn't realize on how much I relied on my BB for day to day operations. I do back it up weekly, but not remembering that a few days ago, we all received new computers for the office and never moved over my BB backups. So now I am depressed and hoping some how to get things right again. Oh well. Happy Blogging

What would have caused that Berry to turn on it's owner?

    Berry Abuse?

Seriously, what would have caused it to do that? That is very odd indeed.

I so feel for you...Well let's hope something can be retreived. On the bright side you still have your berry. I am berry-less at the moment and I can't even tell you what that feels like.

    Best,

Yes after working with computers for years, BACKUPS are important! I feel your pain and that of the people's computers I work on when I tell them their hard drive just dumped.

I would like to know what cause this sudden departure of your data from your BB?

Also, I not only use a Seagate external HD on my home system, but when I back up my BB data, I back it up to my Seagate and to a pocket flash drive.

Never, never, rely on just one backup.

Is it possible that the Berry was remotely wiped, heard that was possible with BES.

That's what i was thinking. It sounds like a remote wipe was done. Are you on BES or BIS?
