I have a Data plan on Airtel that includes unlimited email, and IM but no web browsing etc.

But I cant browse even with wifi, my Wifi locates the connection and shows connected. The BB browser as well as opera doesnt locate and say no active internet connection available.

Someone help me please on this.

Set the default browser to hotspot browser.

This cannot be done in version 5:
Preferred connection choice isnt there.
"Home Screen > Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options. Under 'Connection Preference' make sure you have 'WiFi preferred'"

Any ideas??

Sorry I didn't get it, version 5 means opera beta 5 or OS 5? I'm on OS 5 right now and I have a wifi router at home everything works fine. As opera 5 I had it installed but then removed it cause it's still buggy and I haven't got the chance to test it on wifi connection.

8520 here and the wifi is good. It must be an isolated issue.
