Hello, I am using the 8820 as a wifi only handheld and want to close the stuff I have no use for like the messages, push to talk, and phone in order to make the unit a little faster. Is this possible?

Go to applications in your options, and just delete the applications that you don't want to use.

Use Desktop Manager-Applications to delete/uninstall those "Built-in" ones.

Gotta use desktop then? I have an issue with that. I did the ota doc2go install and it wants to upgrade my V2 to V1...

Yes, DM is the way to go to best add/delete stuff. You have good access to everything. I use version 4.6 as it seems the most stable. Good luck with it, play around with it a little, you'll learn a lot.
