Which BB Storm2 services can be used sans a data plan?
My wife and I are trimming our budget and I am considering getting rid of my Storm2 in favor of a calls-only cell (gasp!). I love the Storm2's WiFi apps, and I use it constantly at home and at my office, where WiFi is available.
Any thoughts?
BTW: I would not continue to use the Storm2 as a cell phone.
Many apps for BlackBerry require a data plan even though they work over wifi. For example, many of the RIM branded apps won't work.
Here's a good list of apps that do work http://forums.crackberry.com/f65/wif...s-list-462539/ keep in mind though that apps will need to be installed through Desktop Manager. The Over the Air (OTA) ones you won't be able to install without a data plan.
