Can someone please help me? I am trying to install my user tools disc and nothing happens. When i insert the disc it asks me if i want to run start.exe. I hit yes and then a blank screen comes up and nothing else happens. I am using windows vista. I have just purchased the storm 9350.

Welcome to CB and congratulations on the storm. It sounds like you might have a bad cd. This is ok, you don't need the cd to install the software. If you go to the bb website you can download Desktop Manager and then install it straight to your computer.

I can laugh, only becasue I have got a few hours of trouble shooting into that problem.

You have noticed AutoRun does not respond correctly. The trick is to start it manualy from Windows / Computer / CD drive. Locate Startup, right click and select Properties. Choose Run as Administrator, close out and double click Startup.

It should work correctly now. Once it has installed, you will be prompted to check for the latest upgrades. If your tools are prior to v4.7, you should upgrade.

Or... follow ArmaK advise and get it done in one step.

I agree with this approach. Very often the CD is of an earlier version of the Desktop Manager meaning you will have to go to the website to get the newer version anyway. Running Vista I would recommend d/l'ing 4.6 as there are several threads about people having problems with 4.7 running Vista.

I would also recommend the version without the Media Manager. If you have an SD card you can transfer your files in and out just like you would a thumb drive.

If you choose to go the route that Violator suggests, you can get the 4.6 version of DM without mM from the following link.
