I have a Verizon unlimited data plan and am in Canada today. My network says 1XEV with a triangle. I know that I am roaming due to the triangle but what about data stuff? Can I text for free and how about the internet?

I'm not sure about texting but I don't think it's free. Probably 15 per message received and 25 per message sent. I found this on Verizon's site regarding data roaming:

    CDMA Data Roaming**
In the Canadian Broadband and Canadian Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage areas, usage will be charged at a rate of $0.002 per KB or $2.05 per MB.
For more information on roaming in Canada and Mexico, visit https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=2iBh7lUT

** Also applies to Data Feature and BlackBerry Data Feature

I guess I will know how "bad" the costs were. I was just up in the Banff area for 11 days of cross-country skiing and used email. Phone charges are supposedly $00.69 (69 cents) per minute.

I did not use the Browser while there.

Does anyone know - I've read that some providers have a number or sms method of getting back your current usage? Verizon?
