In bbmcclure937's proper upgrade manual it says in step #4:

Uninstall all prior OSes from your PC (Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Uninstall Prior OS versions!)

Can someone point me to the right spot?

I'm in the add/remove programs on my PC, but I can't find what to uninstall.

    Thanks.

You should see the BlackBerry device software that you downloaded, if any. If you haven't installed any OS yet, then there isn't anything there.

That would be a good reason why there wouldn't be any there.

    Thanks.

Lol if you've never updated before it can be a little scary and you're afraid to mess something up. Don't worry just follow the guide you'll be fine there are plenty of good people here to hold you hand. There are no stupid questions.
