I upgraded from 4.3 to 4.5 last night... everything seemed to be fine until I realized all of my contacts are gone!

I can't find the .ipd file anywhere on my computer... I checked the option to search hidden files as well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!



*edit- I just thought of another option... I believe my old device (Moto Rokr Z6) still has all or most of those contacts! Does anyone know how to transfer those to my curve 8330?

By default the ipd file will be in My Documents.

You may be able to use the Switch Device Wizard in Desktop Manager to transfer your COntacts.

I always sync my phone prior to doing a Backup. I have never trusted Backup and only use it AS a backup to my sync.

When I got my first BB, VZW transferred my contacts - from their system I think because I'd killed the old phone. It wasn't perfect but was about 80+% right and a great help. Maybe your carrier can help that way?
