so i have a blackberry 8700g and i recently cracked my screen, which is replaceable, but I was wondering what you guys thought about upgrading to the 8820 curve with wifi...

should i upgrade, or should i wait for the blackberry 9000 series to come out??

I have the 8820 and really like it but its hard to say what really to do. The one thing is who really knows when the 9000 will actually make it out. It could be awhile.

Went from the Nextel 7520 to ATT 8820 and LOVE everything about it. Simply terrific.

Have it since Oct 2007 and it's already travelled well, you can't believe the places I have sent email and instant messages from.

Camera isn't important to me so I do not miss it. Wifi has been great and is easy to get going. The GPS has been a great feature too.

No other phone I would rather own right now!

It all comes down to the features that you are looking for. I needed my phone to have a camera, so the 88** series was out. I had no other choice but to get the Curve. As I said, it all comes down to your needs and wants on the phone.

I love my 8820, and really don't miss that it doesn't have a camera. The in-phone cameras are never great, and I have a very nice digital camera anyway. I do wish my camera had bluetooth so I could upload my photos while mobile Maybe next camera.
