My pearl 8110 is currently on software 4.3.0.93 and I am trying to update the phone to 4.5.0.139. I have downloaded the file and ran it. I then opened desktop manager and clicked on check for updates and it says my phone is up to date. How can I get it to work?

Is the os you downloaded and installed from your carrier? If not you need to delete the vendor file found in C>Programs>common files>RIM>app loader

I have deleted the vendor file and clicked on the loader and it still doesn't recognize the software and says it is up to date?

Check for updates won't install an os from your pc. Follow the link I provided.
