I got a new Blackberry Bold 9000 last night as me last one was plagued with problems, but the GPS on this one seem's so fast to find a signal about 5seconds normally. I don't know if like there's been some sort of update with the GPS or the satellites round here have got a lot better, as with all the devices i've had before the GPS has never been this good. Is this the way its always been for most people or always takes a bit to find your location with BlackBerry Maps?

    Devices's I've had before
Bold 9000 (this is me 4th one lol)
    Curve 8900
    Storm 9500
    Bold 9700

Theres 2 ways to grab a location coordinates.

    1) internal GPS only (very slow to lock onto satellites)

    2) internal GPS + cell tower info , 'Location Aiding' (very fast to lock onto location)

Look under options>->advanced options-> gps, see whats enabled for GPS.
