ok....so i never update anything.....i have desk top man. 4.1.o.8, and v4.10.194 (platform20.0.90) should i update, is that going to really help me, and if so what device software, and d.t.m. version should i go for.....what will work, and what wont? (im att if that means anything.)

Update Desktop Manager to v4.6 (without Media Manager)
Update Device software to OS 4.5.0.110

I have a friend with a blackberry who can't get his phone to stop erasing his messages, I knew he had this issue for a while, but when i got my berry and i told him that maybe he needed to update it, he tried and he's so happy now that from time to time he actually gives me a call!
