Hey all. New to this forum and site and I apologize in advance if this post is not in the right place. I have an unknown notification that I cannot eliminate. It looks like a
white X (black background) with a number 1 next to it. I've checked all my folders and apps, no updates there. I have restarted normally and also did a hard restart (removing battery). Any sugs will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

It now looks like two "figures" facing each other with the 1 next to it, something related to a game? I checked all the games on the phone but there is no indication that an update is needed.

Regarding checking the inbox... press your menu key, then press View Folder. There are quite a few folders there to check for a message.

Do you have any alarms set? That could be an alarm clock.

Nope. No alarms. Checked all boxes and did a search for updates/notifications and nothing came up.

Is this an app world update notification? If not try this:
Open your Messages folder > Menu > View Folders > Browser push or WAP push. It will be in one of the other, read or delete and it will clear that notification.

The icon looks like a clock with an X on it. Maybe a calendar item?

Do you have any 3rd party alarm apps installed?

No 3rd party alarm apps. I deleted all the games I Dl'd from app world and restarted the phone. That got rid of the icon for a few hours but it is now back. It's amazing how something so small, and insignificant in most cases, causes such frustration.

Stoopid notification came back. I deleted all apps from the phone, all the ones that I DL'd anyway, and restarted it. Notification has yet to come back. We will see.

If you've deleted all downloaded apps, you can try re-installing them one by one and see which one triggers the notification.

My guess is that it would be a free app, not one you've paid for.

I also have a notification that won't go away on my bb10 system. It's a "N" that is from the new tag app that came with the system. Any help would be great and is there a way to post pictures thru Crackberry app?

That's NFC dude, turn it off in settings, network connections. It's a source of battery drain.
