The injunction prevented Typo from selling the original Typo to distributors, but it doesn't prevent the distributors who purchased them (in the tens or hundreds of thousands) to sell them at retail in the US. And as pointed out, the injunction only has an effect in the US.

It's interesting that it has it's own display case and sells in large enough quantities to be sold like any other iPhone case. Airports are such great places to sell stuff like this. One can imagine the business traveller thinking about all the emails he to get done on his iPhone. Why not try a keyboard case and charge it to the expense account?

Ah. Didn't think about the injunction only being US. Did blackberry seek an injunction in canada? I used to see blackberry kiosks in YVR for the z10 but the Passport would make a much better kiosk here.

I think there is little point to Typo now given the release of the iPhone6. It really is a cheap ugly keyboard. It will die a natural death all by itself.

You would think so... but it seems that there is a Typo 2 (doesn't violate BlackBerry's patent) for the iPhone 6... it's $99. While the Typo 2 for the 5s/5 are only $79.

I don't think there was ever going to be a huge market for these... but the iPhone 6 with a Typo? Makes the Passport a thing of grace and beauty.
