Typical battery Life
What is the Typical Battery Life for a Blackberry being used under Moderate Use. I'm Asking cause my 9330 is getting battery life no better then my old Android. From about 3:00 to now (6:43) It has gone down from 100% to 58%. I have done about 30 minutes of web browsing and texting from 3 to now. If that is not typical what could be the issue?

Battery usage for both of you seems to be abnormal. I usually take my 9860 off the charger at 7:30 am and with moderate use and wi-fi and bluetooth always on it's down to about 30% when I put it back on the charger around midnight. It used to be terrible on early build of OS7.0 when I first got it but with the latest build of OS7.1 it easily makes it through the day without recharging.

i dont think there is a "typical" amount of what battery life is. it depends on alot of factors, like what os youre on, how may apps and themes you have, if apps are running all the time or alot, and how much emailing/bbm'ing/ calls someone does. sometimes apps run in the background and we dont notice , and other times someones screen brightness is at 80 or 100 percent which affects things. i was on 126.96.36.199 and had to recharge after about 7 hours, then when i switched to .258 i saw a huge imporvement. i went up to between 12-15 hours before charging. others on the same os and the same bb model have more or less bat life than i do. so i dont think theres really a definitive answer or definition as to how long a battery should last.

@Jonathon, do you have any social apps setup to check for updates frequently (facebook, twitter, news feeds, etc)? Are you in any BBM groups? Are you sure you have a good 3g signal? Got any apps running in the background? These things have been known to hurt battery life. The 9330 should easily get you two days between charges with moderate usage. Not sure how new your phone is, but it's the also takes a few reboots and charging cycles to 'settle in'.Ed

I second that. Hopefully a future software update will address the 2G/4G thing. Its kind of funny because at work I have pretty decent 3G and the phone registered it as 4G and according to the speedtest app I got like .80mbps down and .50up lol. If these are 4G speeds we have a serious problem lol.

I currently have the 9800 and I am getting through the day pretty well. Most days on moderate use, when I go to put the Torch back on the charger I'm at just about 20%. I close applications I don't use, and I have just what I need when it comes to apps on my phone. I am quite happy with my battery lifeHistory; Samsung Hype -> RAZR -> LG Xenon -> Nokia C3 -> 9000 -> 9300 -> 9800 + PlayBook -> Nexus S -> Bold 9780
