Is there anyway to turn of the sound the camera makes when taking a photograph? Like a free application or something? I find it really annoying and I want to throw my phone everytime I take more then 1 picture. Ps my phone is an 8130

For you, NO. None of the apps that accomplish this works with
CDMA devices, which is what you have.

There is no way to hack into the main device files and deactivate it?

There may be but unless you know what you are doing you
should take that thought off your mind. Unless you are prepared
for potentially having a BlackBerry shaped paperweight.

Is there a good explanation as to why those apps don't work for CDMA devices? Not that it matters to me, I'm on GSM, but I haven't been able to explain why this is in other threads whenever I answer the question about this in general.

I have a habit of learning the hard way. I think this time ill take your advice. I'm not a big fan of 400$ paperweights

Since you're saying that none of the apps work on CDMA, which apps work on the 8900 (GSM)?
