How about this. .let's ditch the entire slide deal and just make it one piece. Big screen -- plenty of real estate and use the keyboard of the 9900 so you don't have to mash your fist through to get words to appear (sorry that was my former 9800 frustration).
Yes, you say it's long -- but it it? It's the same length of an iPhone or Galaxy or what have you and you could make it thin!!
AND you'd have KEYS!! And a BIG screen!
As long as one stayed away from the anemic 9800 hardware -- you could even put OS 7.0 it as a stop gap -- or improve with the 9800/10's auto-focus camera, the big screen, the 9900's guts . .just saying.
Besides at this point, what's one more model coming from RIM . .what are there. . .30?
