Why?
With BB10 you can already crypt device AND SDcard - so enable your SIM lock, Enable your device password, Enable the encryption for media card+ device, and you should be safer than most.

True crypt is free open source, so if anyone sees any opportunity in this, it would be possible to do.

As for TrueCrypt, I think it would be a good idea.

If you encrypt the SD card with the phone, you can't open those files on any other device. You also need to decrypt the files prior to transferring them to another device or PC.

With TrueCrypt, you'd (presumably) be able to copy encrypted files between the PC and phone and decrypt them on either device providing you have the correct credentials.
