Hi, so i will be heading over to Buffalo NY on business for 2 days (1 night) next week and plan on bringing my personal BlackBerry Bold 9700 with me to keep in touch with things back at home. I am with Bell and have called them to find that their long distance plans are ridiculous. So i am looking at going a different route, are there any other options that are easy to get my hands on as soon as possible?
when im in Buffalo i get a Bell Signal until I am around 10km in.
Buy a phone card and make calls from your hotel, you are there for 2 days, not long enough to justify unlocking it and getting a prepaid sim.
use your data on WiFi, this way you can still BBM and enjoy yourself.
its a vacation... 2 days without a BB wont kill ya
You can get your Blackberry 9700 GSM unlocked so it can work with SIM cards of other carriers and get the cheapest Pre-Paid local sim card while you are there.
and use it with a a calling card (local card with a code that you can get from any phone shop).
(you will pay for pre-paid balance charge and you will get cheap rates for local calls and using a local calling card you will have cheap rates to call home)
