I have the 8330 from boost mobile and I'm getting the 8530 soon and I would like to know is there any way other than using DM to transfer data? I ask because the usb port on my 8330 is broken.

You can connect to BlackBerry Desktop Manager via Bluetooth and use the Backup tool via Bluetooth. This will backup your messages and device data.

This won't backup your third party applications, however.

Any of the programs that would do this would require a USB connection. There might be a service/app out there that would backup your data but i'm sure it's not free.

You could also use Google Sync to get a good backup of your Contacts and Calendar. Often these are the most important data items.
