Ok, my brother upgraded to a Galaxy nexus today and he gave me his old iPhone 4 but I don't know howto transfer my contacts, calendar enteries, and text messages to it from my 9810. Don't worry I'm not planning to get rid of it, I'll keep it as a backup. Anyways can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

what are you using to back-up your contacts? are they on the sim, or are you using something like google? if your using google, you can just sync the iPhone to your google account and all the accounts transfer over, if they're on the sim you can also just load them on to the phone that way.

I'll suggest this simple process:
1. BB sync with outlook
2 ip sync with outlook (can do right ?)

Ok I got it to work, the trick was the outlook connector but I got everything to transfer but my texts but it's fine though. Thanks

Dunno if it will work with the i4 but when I went Palm Pixi Plus to my 9700 then to 9900, I just used google calendar and contacts.

Personally I don't think a 9810 to a IP4 is an upgrade, but good luck anyway, I think in the future you may realize that the grass is not greener :-/

True I've been in this route before and ended up coming back to blackberry, which is why I decided not to sell my 9810.

lugman has been here on cb for a long time. I really don't think anyone should be concerned. Iphone 4 is not like Invasion of the Body Snatchers as others would have you believe.

9810 to an iPhone 4 is definitely an upgrade. Though you should probably look into buying a Z10 if you keep coming back. You can get them for dirt cheap nowadays.

Cmiiw, Firechest is cross platform and can backup contact, calendar.

Intouch app can backup contacts and cross platform, this I know.
