Hi,
I want to transfer my contacts to my Iphone but it only transferes 36 of 500
what can i do ?:p
and it doesnt work with BIS neither with the sync it only transferes the 36 and if i want to backup my blackberry it suddenly considers all contacts but they are separated however
Sync the bb contacts with your Gmail account and then sync your I phone with your Gmail contacts using itunes
this doesnt work either since ive got bb 9900 and i also tried it with BIS but it just transfers 36 contacts out of 500
maybe you should have stuck with a blackberry then :P
can't us sync all your contacts using ms outlook and then sync them with your iphone?
Shary, where exactly are you running into a problem? My BB is synced to both Gmail, and Outlook. All of my contacts are there. I assume your iPhone can sync to those as well. So what is not working?

Do you happen to have multiple address books on your device. Open the Address Book, press menu, select options. You should see each list if more than one, it will be displayed as your email address or "an" email address. "Default" may also be listed. If you see "Desktop" that is for a BES address book and wont be easily synced to anything other than your Companies Outlook account.
exactly i see unknown on the list an my email adress so what shall i do now ?
my contacts are divided in 2 section one is called unknown which has the majority of my contacts and the other one is named by my email adress

Assist steps to transfer Contacts from BB to iPhone via Outlook.
Hey there. Were you able to solve the problem of transferring all of your contacts from Blackberry( I mean crackberry) to iphone? LOL. I did the same steps people are telling me and I only get 63 contacts transferred while my other 2103 contacts dont come over to outlook over windows contacts. Let me know if you found a way my friend. Thanks. ( besides selling my iphone _ LOL_)
Yes, there is a very easy solution now: IntouchApp. Just install on your Blackberry and iPhone and login with the same account - done! Get the app from AppStore / AppWorld or IntouchApp: Apps and Plugins

ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter is the best software I have ever used for that.. It is now called Elcomsoft Blackberry Backup Explorer and you will need the standard version, which costs $49. If you work for a company that supports other BlackBerry's see if they will buy it for you. I would then put everything in a gmail account and have that as the only account that you sync contacts with. Keeps life much easier in the long run.

I have just got an iphone 4 (would have had a new BB but my provider did not have any in stock) as my BB bold decided not to function as screen has gone blank. Anyway need to get everything to my iphone as use it for business. I have got BB on computer and have got the backup etc to my phone, but how do i then transfer that to my iphone.
any help gratefully received.

Just go to BlackBerry World download the in touch app and follow the instructions it's a free app that will transfer all contacts in mins.

Some tips in net tell you that you can transfer contacts from balckberry to iPhone via Gmail. That is to say, you firstly backup contacts in BB to Gmail via Blackberry desktop software. After that,On your iPhone, go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Select ‘Add Account’ and select ‘Microsoft Exchange’. Enter your Gmail username and password when you’re asked. Now, in the ‘Server’ field, type "m.google.com" and select ‘Yes’ to sync contacts and calendars. Restart your iPhone and you will see that all BB contacts are in iPhone.
To transfer all Blackberry contacts to iPhone, directly select "Gmail" rather than "Microsoft Exchange" and enter your Gmail user name and passowrd etc. After that, your Gmail contacts will save on you iPhone.
