Does any one think that bringing back the Track Wheel on a new device would help Blackberry at all or would it be just a novelty?

    Is it necessary ?

Does any one miss it like I do?

And if your a Q10 or Bold user, would you prefer it over the touch screen?

No one would want it that wasn't an old school bb user. And plus..in bb10 there's no place for it. Or the trackpad for the matter even though I loved the trackpad

Simply put, the trackball / wheel / pad would completely contradict the flow (see what I did there) of the new ui. It would be more backwards thinking then forward. Though those items were nice but ever since the pad stopped working on my 9900 I haven't looked back.
The new UI has been built for the use of single thumb gestures and in essence the UI is your trackball.

Needless to say imagine what the blogginf world would say if BlackBerry brought it back.

Install a Pop-A-Matic bubble if you need something to click, but most manual input switches are pretty redundant now.

A track pad on a BB 10 might not be a good idea but one thing I hate about all touch devices is inadvertently launching web pages when just trying to scroll up or down. My playbook has the ability to use a tiny portion of the bezel to move around but it would be a lot better if you could use the whole width. I also don't like my screen being all finger printed up from all the poking and stroking so therefore I really like track pads

The all touch screen negates for need for a trackwheel.

I would like a trackwheel but it doesn't make any sense in the bb10 ui, too many screens and swipes.

I could maybe see it on the Q10. However they would have to really play around with the interface of the whole thing.

The track wheel SUCKED, now the "track pad" is another story!
...I'm not sure how I will like operating a berry without it!
...But I'm gonna give it a try.

No to the track wheel. Yes to making the volume and play buttons touch sensitive so your can scroll using them.

And I too will miss the trackpad. Too bad they couldn't keep that.

Lol probably not...may have stumbled across it, but never used it when I had the 8703. I've always navigated around my Blackberries one handed, having to hold alt wouldn't have been in my usage of the device.

Did you not use it to open drop down buttons? You must've done everything the hard way lol
