I'm thinking of getting a used 9900 off kijiji to tie me over until BB10, or at least give me time to way all my options fairly. What are some tips you may have if you've gone through this process, ie what worked well/what did not?

- Meet in public place, ideally bring a friend
- If possible, get the IMEI and make sure it works with the carrier
- Check water damage
- Make sure it is charged, and try the phone out: keyboard, touch screen; try sending a text?


Any others tips?

-Check with the seller if there was a BES policy put on the phone. If so, have them remove it (saving you time.)

-Check the PIN as well. Try sending someone a BBM (to make sure the PIN isn't blacklisted.)
