Every time I take a time shift picture I like to quickly drag the slider left and right and it animates like a mini gif. I really wish BlackBerry or a dev could make the time shift camera save all the instances and string them together to make a gif. Is this possible?

Yep already done Google rewind camera there are lots of apps that do more then the timeshift camera
You can make separate instances of each shot with seperate name just remember to not save as the same name or make an animated photo
Nokia and Samsung have it Built in HTC has it too you just need an app
Tons of apps on android that do the same
zoe does it so does action shot on Samsung
You will have to look up an non Custom app but they are available
