Well I guess they've been in a similar position to where RIM is... But I don't think they're really doing much better right now. The Lumia 800 looks pretty nice, but I don't think it's going to have "amazing" sales.

No probably not "amazing", but it will probably do a better than Meego or Symbian would have ever done. Windows Phone share is also growing. Not a lot, but it's still growth. In time I think WP will become a major player as Microsoft will steadily improve it and will keep plugging away at marketing it (with help from Android royalties). If RIM doesn't get their act together it wouldn't surprise me if WP becomes hits #3 in market share in a few years.
RIM needs one CEO, and neither Jim or Mike should be at the helm, maybe they should bring in someone with a fresh vision and make a ton of changes for the better.
I got a Storm for for my touchscreen trial. Frickin nightmare.
Exactly. I mean, nothing could be better than the first touchscreen phone from a company known for its physical keyboard, right? On a related note, I have a friend that hates physical keyboards after using that ridiculous Palm Pixi. But, seriously, what could be better than that?
I haven't read the article but I know for sure they are kicking RIM's *** in marketing down here in Australia. I have yet to see one commercial for RIM's devices on tv, and I've seen probably 100 N9 commercials now.
I've been down here for 7 months now. RIM needs to step it up. I have no idea why they don't have any commercials running.
