I don't see why not. Me making and sharing a copy of a movie takes money from a content creator the same way making and sharing copies of posts take money away from content creators. Same thing. If one is OK, than the other one must be.

Thorsten Heins disappointed in the delay to US carriers
Seeing that BlackBerry has only a 3% of sales in the US, Most carriers I feel have an mindset that BlackBerry is least of their concern when they all give their gold tooth for an iPhone. Bottom lime, the carriers in the US have BlackBerry by the short hairs.

T-Mobile eyeing quicker release for BlackBerry Z10

T-Mobile may jump the gun on launching the BlackBerry Z10, as the carrier hopes to be the first wireless provider offering the handset in the U.S.
Speaking with Bloomberg, T-Mobile USA Head of Business Sales Frank Sickinger said that testing is progressing well for the touch-only BB10 phone.
"The device is more stable than we anticipated," he said. "If we are able to speed up the launch date, we will do that. Right now it's looking like mid-March."
Mid-March is certainly a step in the right diection for T-Mobile, as a recently leaked launch calendar for the carrier pointed to a later March 27 date for the phone. Though T-Mobile hasn't revealed a price for the phone yet, Sickinger told the publication that $199 is consistent with what the company has considered for the phone.
BlackBerry, the new name for Research in Motion, recently boasted a strong launch for the Z10 in both the U.K. and its homeland of Canada.
CEO Thorsten Heins said the launch beat out the company's past initial sales records in both countries, with nearly three times the previous record in the U.K. with reports the smartphone is selling out in most stores. There aren't any hards sales figures yet, so we'll have to wait to verify Heins' claims.
The handset's success now hinges on whether it can find similar success in the U.S. That could be an uphill battle though, as BlackBerry usage dropped considerably last year to practically nothing at all.
Verizon and AT&T have both committed to carrying the Z10 along with T-Mobile, though neither have offered a date yet. It appears that March is the month to launch though, so U.S. customers can look forward to the all-touch BlackBerry 10 handset next month.

I remember the GS3 having a similar delay last year. It was released in May and didn't hit the States til June. No biggie at all. Different situation of course, but as long as the marketing and publicity behind it is top notch, along with the device being top notch, this shouldn't be a huge issue.

It wouldn't be a good idea to start off on the wrong foot with carriers regarding a completely new platform...especially in an area where BlackBerry has been hurting already. I am disappointed as well. I don't get why the US carriers started their testing later than the rest of the world.

Sorry for hijacking your thread. I'm inthe US also. Any candian friends here please tell me what is the total cost (including 15% tax) to buy the z10 outright from rogers, fido, bell, telus or any other canadian carriers?

Hmm... I never explicitly say that ... just thinking more of conspiracy theories in general but Anything is possible. but in terms of likelihood Id say govt intervention is less likely because, as fas as I know (which admittedly is near to none) they have less of a reason to do so?

You need to stop making posts that make sense.
I totally believe Thor on this situation.
There are pressures on the carriers on all of the social media outlets from BlackBerry lovers for a soon-to-be US release for BB10.
I'm sure that if this were not true, all of the carriers would have posted a Tweet or FaceBook post or sent out emails, etc. to all with a clear and concise rebuttal.
Not one carrier has gone public to say that Thor has said anything which was incorrect. Not one.
Believe me, there isn't a carrier (or any company) that would accept any blame for not fulfilling customer's needs/demands if it were not true.
The carriers are eating it because they know it's true.
I've seen many CEO's rebut false allegations about their companies quickly and publicly, including Thor.
This is not the case with the US carriers currently, and I've seen rebuttals for a lot less, from all of them, for various allegations.

@saiga: i dont think it is about logic. Its copyright law. Which i must admit I've forgotten much of the details of but i'd say in general it is subject to certain exceptions carved out for education/fair use.
