I started using my 8830 for music, but I only have a few songs on it right now. Have to get the right adapters to use it in my car.

I'm a proud ipod owner 20gb's so I have tons of music on there that I take everywhere with me and my battery last for hours. And even though I have a 2gb micro sd card on my bb, I only put music on there if I want to use them for a ringtone. I use my sd card for movies and pictures. I wouldn't want to run my battery down just to listen to music on my bb. My bb is used mostly used for calls and emails.

I have a Sansa E260 I keep connected in my car. But I regularly download my favorite tunes to my Pearl so I have them with me wherever I am.

I just recently purchased an 80gig Zune so my listening on the curve has declined. That said i still keep about 2 gigs of music on it for times when i forget/dont feel like carrying another device around.

I still use my video Ipod but only because it has all of the music that my son likes and I can plug it into the car. If I could hook up my blackberry thru my stereo in my car I would put the Ipod away for good!

I have a 80gb Video iPod and though the screen size is pretty similar, it's hard to drop down from 80gb of music & video down to less than 1gb on the BB (I don't have a HDMC). Add to that, the great sync & file management of iTunes and it's hard to switch away...

But I guess one of the things that keeps from trying is the fact that I have never tried a BT stereo headset. Right now, it's not worth ripping out an earbud and then holding the phone up to talk with the headset wire dangling from the edge at the same time.

I ditched my ipod to listen to music on my BB. It's not as big, but it's easier to carry one item to work.

I would say if i listen to music outside of my car then either my laptop or the pearl do it for me. but that all should change once i get a microsd card for my pearl so i can listen to music on my pearl without data charges

no longer carry my iPod with me on business trips - just use the 8830.
sure would be nice to get the OS updated for A2DP support and then these great headphones would work on the 8830.

still bring the iPod on vacations/personal travel/car trips...
