I'm convinced that there is a certain crowd here that if someone posted a thread entitled "I really like to breathe air!", they would all argue with them that air is unnecessary, just buy a new BlackBerry and stop complaining. :P

Ehhh, not for me.


Anyway - I and a lot of people like the idea of a dark Hub, because we just like dark stuff, we like the "Black" in "BlackBerry", we prefer it for vision or style reasons. If we can have SMS in dark theme, no reason the whole Hub can't be that way.

That said, what I really want, even more than that? A way to reply to someone's HTML message that doesn't force my reply text to be in lame/tiny crappy blue characters that I have to fiddle with the "quill" to change, every single reply. Can't set something more normal-looking as a default.

Once I get that, then I'll start whining about the dark Hub again.

I've disabled the "dark theme" everywhere I can on my Z30. Poor delineation of UI elements makes finding things harder. Grey on black? What were they thinking?

I haven't found that on the phone as much as on BB Link. I remember complaining about that 2 years ago, and I still can't find the scroll bar!! :-(

If you think that's bad, try finding the scroll bar on modern versions of OS-X.

I posted a screen shot, but removed it when I realized it has too much personal information on it. The hub list is black, the screens to the right are white.
Actually, if they were both black there would be no contrast between them. I kinda like it this way.

have no clue what you're talking about, it's much easier on the eyes and just looks better period. However i do like the Light KB compared to the Dark KB in certain situations.

That's a laughable argument as the OLED screen on Q10 and Z30 benefits from the dark theme, that's the entire reason dark theme exists in the first place, according to BlackBerry themselves

Yes but not for the LCD screen which other BB are and what i was referring too. My wife had the dark hub on her Q10.

I just don't get this interest in dark vs light hub.

I have a great 12 oz hammer. I care about how it's made, including materials, balance point, quality of the steel, etc. I do NOT care about the color of the handle.

Feel free to disagree with me and explain what I'm missing.

Unless you spend a lot of time reading the handle of your hammer, it is a totally different situation. In addition to the cosmetic issue I find the dark background screen to be much easier to read because of the high contrast.

Any specific day in mind??
The code problem is in the App and I've been asking them to fix it for years.
I use my browser to post and don't have to deal with it.

But long as they offer the WUSIWUG editor I plan on taking advantage of it!
