You should first read up about upgrading the Storm, in the Storm OS Sub Forum, BUT you will find a link in my thread to a custom made installer that automates the 122 upgrade process. VERY easy to use, almost as easy as the actual installer would be. Use the last link in my sig.

    Is it safe?

If I understand correctly, one carrier has approved it for installation.

Users of other carriers have to resort to blending components into a hybrid build.

If you have any concerns, wait for your carrier to make it available.

I'm been running the .122 OS on my storm without any problem since the CDMA and Java files were leaked. As pk said, using lyricidal's .122 installer is the simplest method for users that aren't comfortable with playing with the installation files. If you decide to go this route make sure that you read the thread carefully and do a complete backup before attempting the process.
