    I want to read content on my phone but I seem inundated with unwanted video/audio. Is there an app for turning off the audio/visual content but still having access to print content?

    If you are talking about using your Browser and going to a site with Audio or Video that plays.... like news sites.

    There are TEXT only based browsers... kinda depends on what platform you are on.

    Not sure if this helps but the native browser has Reader format and it then displays in basic text removing ads and videos.

    Simple menu switch or if you have a PKB you can hit the R button. It's a quick switch from both modes.
